The Potomac at Great Falls National Park was flooded over due to unseasonable heavy rains throughout the month of May and the beginning of June.
Cresting on Tuesday morning at 12.38 feet, the river was roaring with thunder with strong undertows and tree trunks piling up along the shorelines.
