Blue Footed Booby
Isabela Island in the Galapagos, Ecuador is a wonderful place where one enjoys nature by both land and by sea.
After a hike past Darwin’s Lake, we loaded onto Pangas and bobbed up and down along the rocky seashore to enjoy the wildlife clinging onto the cliffs.
Handholding my Canon 5D Mark III with 100-400mm lens, obtaining focus being on a continuously moving Panga and low light in the shade of the cliff proved to be quite difficult. The driver of the panga did an excellent job maneuvering in the difficult surf allowing each visitor a great views.
A good number of Blue footed boobies sat on the cliffs and gazed on us with mild curiosity but completely trust that they would be respected in their landscape.
